Austin Healey 100/4
The ‘Big Healey’ started life in 1952 in its 100/4 guise with a 4 cylinder 2,660cc engine. Classic British built two seater sports car, the Austin-Healey 100/4 was the work of Donald Healey and was the car that introduced the Austin-Healey Marque. This very British sports car used an Austin A90 engine and modified Austin A90 gearbox, and its all-steel body was mounted on a steel box section chassis.
In 1954, it offered genuine 100-mph performance, dramatic styling and open motoring at an affordable price. Not only did it win the hearts of enthusiasts it also proved its worth in international sports car racing.
Lighter, more agile and quicker off the mark than its bigger engined stablemate, our Healey also has an improved cylinder head for better performance and to make use of unleaded fuel, this car also has a big bore exhaust - so people know your coming!
